If you are downtown, look for the electrical box on the corner of 7th Street and 1st Avenue (north-east corner of Galt Gardens) for the latest addition to the Public Art Wrapping Pilot. Watch for more electrical boxes to be wrapped in Galt Gardens as the temperatures warm up.

The title of this work by artist Leila Armstrong is Backyard Wilderness.

“The goal is to raise awareness about how art can help us understand our environment and hopefully shift societal attitudes towards so-called problem animals such as skunks and raccoons. I want to help city dwellers come to see urban wildernesses, wildlife, and themselves, as part of nature.”

The vinyl wrap was printed and installed by Warwick Printing Co.
