Helen Schuler Nature Centre
The City of Lethbridge is inviting artists to participate in a two stage public art competition. The selected artist will receive a commission to design, fabricate and install a public artwork in conjunction with the Helen Schuler Nature Centre renewal project currently occurring in Lethbridge, Alberta (population 90,417). The intent of this project is to provide a public artwork that embraces the objectives of the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. Visitor’s experience of the river valley park and the Centre will be enhanced and their interaction with this unique location will be made more meaningful because of the art work. Artists are encouraged to pay close attention to the special considerations and challenges of the area as described in the included background information.
Total budget for the Helen Schuler Nature Centre Public Art Project is $72,000.00.
The competition is open to all regional, national and international artists.
